Elephant – It’s What’s For Dinner

How do you eat your elephant?  Do you put on your fancy bib with an elephant on the front, grab a big knife and a big fork and just start?  Or do you draw sketches of your elephant, complete with measurements to figure out the best way to approach?  Or do you just keep telling yourself that you can’t possibly do this?

Through the years, I’ve learned elephants only look big and scary… that in the end, my God-fork and my Jesus-knife are the perfect size to eat that sucker one bite at a time.

Don’t get me wrong.  Each bite doesn’t taste exquisite.  And each bite doesn’t always go down easily.  But each bite taken with that mighty fork and knife is full of strength.  And protection.  And love.

As I face a new elephant in my life, I draw closer to God.  And I have complete faith in the plan He has in my life.  In our lives.
